An Encounter In The Gutter!

Hello!
Well, I'd like to tell you what happened earlier at school...
We just had recess at a certain time...when suddenly, someone just says that they have found a cat in the school's gutter!
My friend, who apparently loves cats, came and checked the gutter to find the cat.
And it turns out that she did! 
She took it to our class and let it stay there until school time ends.
While the cat was in the class, she  placed a piece of cloth into a box and the cat would stay there.
Then, she placed a towel on top of the box so the cat won't escape.
She didn't close the box with the towel fully though -- she kept a bit of space, probably for some air for the cat.
She says that she might just bring it home and raise it!
My friends and her named it Garfield, after the same character.
It's because she thinks it looks like it.
For sure, when the other recess sessions come, they played with the cat.
They actually once planned on giving it a bath, but I'd say that plan got cancelled.
They also once tried to give it some toys that they would have made themselves.
But that plan also got cancelled.
I think she has already taken it home... 
And this has been the second time she would find a cat in the school and raise it later on.
